Work with Me 1:1
First, we will take our time to dive into your health history, what you’ve tried before, and where you are at now. We will take a thorough inventory of your lifestyle including food, movement, sleep, stress, enviornment, etc. We will work together to identify root cause issues, considering labs and further testing. Then, together we will create a plan with a clear stepwise approach that empowers you to fully nourish your mind, your body, and your hormones.
What does it look like to work with Lauren?
Closing of the Bones Ceremony
The Closing of the Bones is rooted in many cultures across the world. I was fortunate enough to be trained through the Mexican lineage by Rachelle Garcia Seliga who directly worked with indigenous midwives in Mexico. It was intended to be shared - woman to woman.
La Cerrada, or “the closing” a ceremonial journey of inner and outer transformation. It is a way for women to gather, honor, and integrate their labor and birth experience and fully transition into motherhood. It involves a series of gentle massages, wraps, and prayers aimed at physically, emotionally, & spiritually supporting the mother. The pelvis is wrapped in such a way that it assists in physically aligning a mother’s body by “closing her bones” out of the open birth position.
It can be performed anytime postpartum and beyond, as once you become a mother you are always “postpartum” and this closing can continue to serve you if you are called to it.
If you want to have a closing ceremony after birth, it is generally around the 40-day window.
This ceremony can also be a powerful tool to hold anyone during a significant life transition including birth, menarche, menopause, grief, loss, change in career, change in health status, or any other need to mark a rite of passage.
“I am deeply grateful for Lauren’s beautiful, skillful, and humble holding of me in the Closing of the Bones ceremony after my daughter’s birth. I didn’t know what to expect, but felt a deep sense of trust of Lauren to guide me and support me in what unfolded. I feel we need a ritual and ceremony more than ever to support us through life’s transitions, and being held by Lauren felt like a deeply healing balm for my body and spirit as I find my way into a new phase of life as a mother.”

“I had the blessing of receiving a Closing of the Bones Ceremony with Lauren. She started with a divination and a prayer with a beautiful alter. Then, she had me lay down and got me cozy. As I laid down, I could feel the slight burning in my bladder as I have been struggling with this issue for a long time (being 70, it is a thing…). As she wrapped me in the soft shawls, I felt warmth and a deep feeling of going within for healing. When Lauren began to play her drum, spirit took me to a powerful place for healing, ending with a sacred flame going into my heart. When the ceremony was over I realized I had no more pain in my bladder, and I felt the energy in my feet when I stood up. Deep gratitude filled me. Lauren is an angel.”
